The persistent morning rain was followed by afternoon fog so little to report. Some 200 Redwings on the golf course at 2pm were the only sightings of note as the majority of the day was spent catching up on other Obs jobs. Some excellent habitat management by the AWT volunteers at Mannez reserve has helped the site preparation for next spring.

Despite the inclement weather some ringing went ahead this morning with a net in the shelter of a barn entrance at Kiln Farm. 15 more Starlings were ringed. Processing so many Starlings here over the last few days has helped us enormously with correctly ageing this species at this time when both juveniles and adults have completed a full moult.
