Day 2 of strong easterly winds and ringing in the sheltered quarry at Mannez reserve again did not disappoint with 77 new birds ringed. Another movement of Robins saw 41 more ringed and, adding to yesterday’s individual, another 4 Yellow-browed Warblers as well as 1 Redwing, 9 Song Trushes, 3 Firecrests, 1 Goldcrest, 5 Chiffchaffs,  9 Blackcaps and 1 Chaffinch were caught.

There were sporadic movements of Swallows through today, accompanied by the odd House Martin and 1 Wigeon, 2 Teal and 1 Shoveler were on Longis Pond this afternoon.
