Overnight winds went from NW through to SW and this morning fair ringing conditions soon deteriorated as winds picked up and brought with them rain that came and went throughout the rest of the day. Still, 18 new birds were ringed while the going was good. These included 13 different species: 1 Common Redstart, 2 Pied Flycatchers and a Woodpigeon were the highlights.  For the first time this autumn we ringed more Chiffchaffs than Willow Warblers (3/2).

A Yellow Wagtail was seen over Mannez. David Child had 6 Little Egrets and 4 Curlew in Clonque Bay this morning. There were at least 6 Mediterranean Gulls at the north end of Braye Beach.
