Strong Westerly winds again prevailing but late afternoon they dropped off considerably and this coincided with a build up of about 120 Swallows and 20 House Martins Swallows feeding over the high tide in Longis Bay where the Bar-tailed Godwit flock now numbered 26.

Ringing was just the Swallow roost on Longis reserve, we ringed 53 Swallows this evening.

Paul Veron today re-located the ringed Black headed Gull spotted yesterday at Braye and managed to read its ring confirming it as a German ringed bird. See the table below for this individuals known history. Paul has contacted the original ringer to find out if the bird was seen in Germany this summer.
