Whilst the winds remained light from the SE fog engulfed the island all day. This combined with a morning spent attending to other Warden duties only gave me time for one quick net round this morning and a couple of rounds this evening. Paul and Catherine Veron ringed this morning in Mannez Quarry. There were 6 Whimbrel on Longis Common today and Paul had 2 over the Lighthouse. No other reports

A late report from yesterday was that Ringed Plovers had hatched on Platte saline beach.

Ringing was 22 new birds today, 11 from each site including 1 Spotted Flycather, 4 Reed and 3 Sedge Warblers, 4 Whitethroat, 4 Blackacap and 4 Chiffchaffs.
