Another report of a Kingfisher from yesterday, this one seen flying across Essex Farm fields.
Today brought the return of very strong Westerly winds gusting 30mph+ at first light. The Bar-tailed Godwit numbers on Longis beach had risen again, now 19 birds and the single Knot was still with them. The day was employed clearing and improving net rides along with cutting two new rides at locations presenting themselves as regularly good spots for our birds.
Tim Earl reported good numbers of Blackcap around the Watermill along with 1 Green Sandpiper. Nicci Coxx found 3 Dunlin on Braye Beach and a spotted a Black headed Gull with a ring on.
